Ask Dr. Burke
What should a football player take to gain muscle and burn fat?
Q

I am 18 years old and am a student athlete looking to play football at the college level. I have been training hard 5-6 times a week by incorporating 30-45 minutes of hard cardio and weight lifting in each session. I have also been taking whey protein and have seen results, however i do not feel it is fast enough. I am interested in the Anabolic Prescription and am wondering if it is good for me to take. Also, what gains should i expect? I am also looking to lose my belly fat and turn it into muscle. I am 6' 1 and weigh approximately 225 lbs. If this product is the right one, how can i convince my parents into allowing me take it? Thank you, Carlos

A

Hi there and thanks for your message. We make and market products specific to elite athletes, so our complete line-up is perfect for any athlete including football players. In my experience most guys training for football consume a lot of protein so I suggest taking 3-4 scoops a day of a high quality protein such as PROMASIL. It has 7 essential sources of protein, mixes well, and tastes great. You will notice a difference immediately in comparison to just whey protein. The ANABOLIC PRESCIPTION would be a great product for you to take if you are looking to gain strength and build muscle mass. MPOWER will increase your energy levels while decreasing your body fat percentage and also help you to reach your goals. Train hard and keep me posted on your progress.
