Are you having trouble sticking to your diet? Having a busy personal life/schedule can make dieting hard, but it doesn’t have to be. These three tips will help you stay on track.
1. Carry healthy snacks
If you’re on the go a lot, meal prepping and carrying around healthy snacking options can help keep you on track with your diet. Things like shakes, nut mixes, yogurts, and hard boiled eggs are some go-to's that I use throughout my busy work day. There are tons of options out there, just pick a couple of quick easy things if you know you won’t have time to sit down and eat a full meal to tide you over until then.
2. Have a game plan before you go out to eat.
Don’t be afraid to go out with your friends and family. It’s okay to have a social life! Most places have healthy options, and looking up the menu beforehand can help make things easier and less stressful rather than overwhelming yourself not knowing what to eat. Also, if you know you are going to indulge a couple of untracked meals over the weekend, just make sure you stay on track with the rest of your meals throughout the week and all of your clean diet meals are prepared and ready to go to get you back to your diet after you treat yourself a little!
3. Think about what really motivates you.
Remember the reasons that made you want to stick to a diet in the first place. Making a list of reasons and setting small daily goals is one thing I learned to help keep me motivated and reminds me of why I started, to stay on course
These three tips are what helps keep me on track with my diet, but it is important to find what works best for you. Consistency is key. Remember it's a marathon, not a sprint!
